You will stay only a few minutes walk from the nearest sandy beach, where you can jump into the crystal clear water and relax wonderfully on the beach. At the harbor you will find a boat rental if you want to explore the coast from the sea side. For excursions we recommend the enchanting castles of Duino, where Rilke wrote his famous elegies, and Miramare. Within easy reach is also the historically and culturally interesting city of Trieste, with a charming old town and atmospheric Art Nouveau cafes, certainly worth a day trip.
