Unwind and relax at this charming riverside log-framed barn loft. Located on a 20-acre hobby farm it’s a peaceful and secluded getaway.
Living Room - Spacious with everything you need to just chill. Smart TV with Netflix, books, games, and two comfortable couches for lounging. One wall is all windows with a sliding door that opens to your own private balcony complete with a little bistro set for your morning coffee while you enjoy the river view and watch the eagles flying overhead.
Kitchen - A full kitchen that includes a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, toaster oven, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, and all the pots, pans, and dishes needed to cook at home if you prefer.
Dining Room - A cozy dining area with a big window to watch the sunset as you dine.
Bedroom - Situated at the one end of the open-concept loft the bedroom area is sectioned off with a bookcase wall that gives a little privacy but keeps the space feeling open and airy. It features a comfortable queen-sized bed with soft sheets, plenty of pillows, and fluffy comforters. There’s also a large dresser for clothing storage. Forget your slippers at home? We’ve got you covered with some hand-knitted ones you are welcome to use during your stay!
Bathroom - The large bathroom features a corner shower with a dual shower head. All towels and bathroom amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided.
Outside - By the main entrance you’ll find a private patio with outdoor seating, a fire pit, and propane barbeque. Blankets are provided if you get a little chilly outside.
If you’d like a swim or just want to enjoy the river we have a private dock for your use. It’s just steps away from the loft. Beach towels and pool noodles are provided if you decide to go for a dip.
Take a stroll through our meadow to visit with the swans, geese, and cranes. Our free-range chickens will probably be out and about and if we have enough eggs you’ll find some in the fridge upon your arrival for you to enjoy. You might also see our honey bees hard at work collecting pollen and nectar in the nearby flowers. Look in your welcome basket for a sweet little surprise.
We are centrally located between Pictou and Tatamagouche. Both have a lot to offer and it’s a scenic oceanside drive in either direction. Both offer shopping opportunities, museums, music and theatre, and restaurants. Tatamagouche has a microbrewery that’s great to visit. Pictou has a really nice harbourfront. If you like hiking or biking we are just 2km away from the Trans Canada Trail.
