Summary: The first front clerk was great, the second (when we checked out) not so much.
The jacuzzi tub ledge had dirt and old water marks (from cups) on it, there was a cute glycerine soap there that was used by someone previous (it was wrapped with cellophane but the cellophane was gone in parts).
The bathroom sink was clogged, even to wash our hands it filled up. I told the clerk when checking out and she wasn't phased, didn't say anything but "I'll let the cleaner know". I wasn't going to let her know about anything else with her disinterested attitude. The shower was barely enough to fit one person in (definitely can't bend over if you drop your soap)
The bed was absolutely atrocious! Anytime someone moved it made noise. It was so hard and the springs poked. FYI - the couch was more comfortable to sleep on.
It's a loud place, not from the train in the back nor the traffic out front but, from the workers who stay there (a large greyhound type bus full). The gravel parking lot (out back where the bus parked) stirred up a lot of dust from traffic so having a window/deck door open, or sitting on the private deck, wasn't possible. The deck furniture was coated in dirt.

Summary: The staff at this motel were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciated. However, I did have concerns about the cleanliness of the room. While it wasn’t terrible, it could have been better maintained to make guests feel more comfortable. With a bit more attention to cleanliness, this place could easily earn higher ratings.
