This welcoming home away from home has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed with a shared bathroom and a second bedroom with a single bed. There is a stackable washer and dryer in the bathroom. The open-plan, fully equipped kitchen, dining area and living room offers floor-to- ceiling windows to make the most of the stunning views. There is hardwood flooring throughout the house, with scattered Persian rugs and a Pacific Energy wood stove to warm up those cool Newfoundland evenings.
The house sits on the foundation of an 18 th. century fortification. This was also the sight of the original Harbour Pilot House, which helped vessels navigate the narrow harbour opening. With the water lapping at the rocks below the deck, you get that relaxed seaside vibe, but downtown St.John's, with its lively bars, world-class restaurants and unique shops is only a 6-minute drive away. Feel like a walk ? The East Coast Hiking trail begins less than a thousand feet from the house. Or if you're in a mellow mood, just sit on the huge wrap-around deck and watch the ocean liners, small fishing boats and whales pass by, just a few feet away.
