Summary: The cottage was VERY dirty inside! So much so you didn’t feel comfortable taking off your shoes on the disgusting carpet and even the easily washable floor mats! Wow! Not to mention years old cobwebs on ALL of the windows AND actual bug carcasses in the kitchen cupboard drawers (will attach pics if I can upload). Painfully obvious that the owners put zero energy into cleaning the interior!! Outside there are two seating areas (these were shown in their pictures on line) and both have not been cleaned, repaired or properly maintained since they were built about 30 years ago. As a contractor this is something I am know about. Completely unsafe and unusable!! Walk past the several signs telling you to not move any furniture and step out onto the deck and after you stumble a bit because the entire deck and stair system drops 2 inches when u step on it what awaits you is a concrete cinder block standing on edge with a sharp edged broken ceramic tile sitting on top. The next thing you’ll see is the old deck table with the glass missing laying upside down on the grass next to the patio stone deck area. Although these issues are simple and inexpensive things to fix it shouts at the owners complete lack of concern for the renters comfort or safety. Why be sooo cheap?!?!?! And it is such a shame as the property enjoys a nice view of the lake (albeit 40 feet straight down) AND! We arrived to discover that the water in the entire area has been undrinkable for many months…SUPRISE!!
