We would love to welcome you to our 2 bedroom basement suite. It's self contained and separate from the main house with it's own entrance through the backyard, for maximum privacy. You'll have your own outdoor deck, even a lower, outdoor covered space just outside your door. Everything you need is here. There's a modern and cozy living room to relax in after a long day of exploring or working. The couch turns into a queen size bed in case you need extra sleeping space. The bedrooms are comfortable and both have desks and plenty of closet and storage space. The full kitchen has all the little comforts of home, and all the dishes and utensils you may need to whip up a home made meal have been provided. The bathroom is always sparkling clean and sanitized before every guest's arrival. We always make sure there is shampoo, conditioner, soap, and a hair dryer, for our guests' convenience. For longer stays of 6 days or more, we provide access to the laundry room, or upon request for shorter stays.
The house is located in a nice, quiet neighbourhood, just 5 minutes from the highway that takes you to downtown Vancouver in half an hour. We are twenty minutes from the US border, and the closest Sky Train (light rail transit) station is 10 minutes away. There's a major shopping mall 5 minutes from us, with all kinds of stores, movie theatres, and restaurants. Groceries, and recreation centres are also all within a 5 to 10 minute drive. The house backs on to the edge of a forest park, so a peaceful, green, private setting is what you will see every day. This park has many wonderful trails for a nice nature walk, or jog, and the entrance to this park is a 3 minute drive away.
Other things to note:
From the backyard, there is a set of stairs - eight steps to be exact - that you need to take down in order to access the door to the suite. This makes the suite not wheel chair friendly, and may not be suitable for those who have mobility issues or have difficulty with stairs.
There is only 1 laundry room for the entire house, located in a room right beside the suite, and separated from the suite by a door. This is the only potentially shared space, and so your door to it is locked off when we are using it, and when you are using it, our door to it is locked off. For shorter stays (6 nights or less), use of the laundry would only be if requested. For longer stays, you will have the laundry room on a regular basis, such as every weekend, or whichever 2 days out of the week is convenient for you. We have defaulted to allowing access to the laundry on the weekends, but this may of course change if the weekends don't suite you. For shorter stays, you may of course just message us if you need the laundry room for the day.
This reservation has a Super Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 14 day prior to the check in date.
A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 14 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 7 to 13 days before check-in. No refunds are provided for travellers cancelling less than 7 days prior to check-in. CanadaStays Booking Fees are refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of placing your booking request.
Our house rules: primary renter must be 25 or older, no smoking, no parties or events, no pets.
