Summary: The property is as advertised, great location just off of the Trans Canada which provides great access, but just far enough away that there are no vehicle noises. Very close to amenities in Sorrento and about a 10 minute drive along Blind Bay road into the heart of Blind Bay. The neighbours were a wonderful family that were very kind and great with our kids (taking them on their boat etc). Super clean and Sandy was awesome. Our biggest issue was with the owner (patriarch). We rent properties for a reason - no maintenance. Check in, hang out for a week or two (pay market price) and then leave. My idea of a vacation is not; help with the land-lords outboard motor, help move the 50 foot log (that the owner has in place to delineate his property from the wonderful neighbours) when it beaches itself horizontally across the neighbours beach, help retrieve and tether the remnants of the broken wooden dock that drifted around the new Copper Island dock (which prevented my boys from fishing or swimming off the dock until it was moved), have to drive the temperamental 4-stroke outboard motor (and temperamental owner) out to a buoy to re-tether the final piece of the dock, deal with the owner launching his own boat and taking up the right side of the dock that we rented for the last 3 nights (and 4 days of our vacation - rendering one side not for diving or fishing from), have him yell and curse at you when he pulls his boat in and doesn't take account of the current pulling the boat away from the dock (yes, I cursed back at him), having the owner knock on the door and then try to enter while my wife and youngest son were napping (he thought we were gone because our vehicle was gone - you thought we were gone so your were going to do something you weren't supposed to??), have the owner come down and crowd me out of the dock while I'm deflating and folding up all of our large inflatables (including a 100 sq.ft floating island) - and then having him moor his boat with a rope spanning across the dock to the cleat on the far side leaving a tripping hazard (yes, I moved it myself once he left). Overall, I wouldn't consider renting this place again and would strongly advise against it as long as the patriarch is near the property. I hate to be scathing but... what can I say, it bordered on ludicrous behaviour which partially wrecked a week long trip we had been looking forward to for quite some time.
