Feel at peace in this unique and tranquil cottage. Situated on a five acre property, this 1930's cottage is surrounded by an old growth fir and cedar grove. You might hear the babbling of the creek that runs through the property, and if you're lucky, you'll see the heron fishing in the natural spring-fed pond. Centrally located with a 5 minute drive to either downtown Courtenay or Cumberland, and a 20 minute drive to Mount Washington.
This 1000 sqft. home has two bedrooms, with a queen bed and a double bed, and there is also a sofa bed in the living room. The space has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom (stand up shower), and laundry room with a washer and dryer. The back patio opens up to overlook the grove, old barn, and pond and there is a BBQ available for you use and seasonal patio furniture.
Guests have access to the entire home and patio area. There are miles of trails just down the road that is generally unknown if you want a peaceful stroll in the trees!
Owners live on the same property and are available if needed. We also have two labs who love people and would love to be around you, but if you would prefer to not greet them, we're happy to keep them home. You may also see our friendly cat around and we have chickens, including a rooster who likes to let you know when the sun is rising!
