Welcome to Bluebird's Nest! Located directly above the town and Golden Skybridge, our new, spacious, custom built lodge boasts magnificent views of the Columbia valley and Kicking Horse Ski Resort. We’re a 5 min drive to town and a short walk to the Skybridge across the road. Explore our hiking trails that lead to the public forest trails. Head out and explore Golden's year round activities. At the end of the day, check out our fire pit overlooking the orchard! INSIDE: Our custom built lodge combines a relaxing forested setting with modern conveniences in the best location very close to town. The spacious bedroom includes a new queen size bed, balcony, and a workspace. The main area includes a lot of natural light, excellent views, and a cozy feeling while being perched among the tree tops. With a dining area, a comfortable TV area, and a gourmet kitchen with an island, you’ll have plenty of room to spread out. Additional features: -spacious kitchen with all your essentials -43" smart TV with Netfilx, Amazon Prime, etc. -Wi-fi with 8.5 Mbps -soundproofed between the lower and upper suite by adding extra insulation and a sound barrier OUTSIDE: -large fire pit (wood provided) shared with the lower suite -balcony with seating -ample parking with room for trailers -private entrance to the suite You’ll have access to our trails to go for a hike, walk to the orchard, and explore the property. Hike to our canyon/adventure park viewpoint and take in the sights. In the orchard, we’ve been successfully experimenting with northern hardy trees and plants that allow us to grow rare plants from warmer climates. Depending on the time of year, we may have extra produce to share with you! We just ask that guests stay outside the fence when viewing the orchard so we can protect the sensitive plants. The fire pit is shared with the lower suite. Apart from that, everything else will be private. Some small areas will remain private and off limits for guests. Rural, quiet neighbourhood We're close enough to town for biking or driving. Golden Skybridge is walking or biking distance. -The owners live on the property, and will be available for emergencies/assistance if needed -Guests will be able to check themselves in using our key lockbox system -Contact us for prices on long term stays (more than 14 days) -Check in 4pm -Check out 11am -Check out the "tourismGolden" website for all the local activities and events happening -We do have friendly dogs on the property.
