A haven that enchants the senses The 180 square meter Casa "Makatea" is a jewel. The lovingly renovated property combines the charm of a typical Ticino house with exclusive comfort and delights with numerous, lovingly designed highlights. Up to six people can experience moments of lightness and happiness here, very much together with your four-legged darling.
In Brione, above Minusio, the two-story vacation home nestles in a sunny position on the hillside and gives you moments of silence and wonder far away from all the hustle and bustle. No matter where you are in the house or on the property, the view of our beautiful Lake Maggiore accompanies you.
Casa "Makatea" is located on a quiet residential street and is suitable for couples, young families as well as for people who are not good walkers or use assistive devices. From the garage there are stairs as well as a comfortable elevator leading to the house.
Once upstairs, this unique domicile surprises with a wealth of amenities. On the first floor, a living room with an open fireplace, cozy sitting area and a foosball table awaits you, which is guaranteed to bring cheer not only to little guests. Spectacular eye-catcher is the large chandelier in the air space to the gallery. The bright red, open kitchen with dining counter is a popular meeting place. Here, an induction cooktop, steamer, coffee maker, toaster and kettle are ready to assist you in your culinary adventures.
Also on the first level is a pantry with freezer and shelves, a laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board and iron, and an accessible shower room with toilet and washbasin.
A staircase with stair lift takes you to the upper floor. Here three bedrooms with comfortable double beds are at your disposal. All of them are wonderfully comfortable retreats with views of the sparkling lake and direct access to the balcony. Two rooms have en-suite bathrooms. Our absolute favorite room is the bedroom with freestanding bathtub and en-suite bathroom with air conditioning.
The outdoor area also promises unique moments to remember. You can relax on the spacious terrace, refresh body and soul in the jacuzzi, use the solar shower or find your own private piece of heaven on earth in the outdoor glass pool (3 x 6 m with cover). The pool is heated by an environmentally friendly solar system, so the water is up to 20° in sunny weather. If it gets cooler in the evening, simply move indoors or end the day in style with an aperitif in your private "Grot dal Martin".
Please note that smoking is only allowed in the outdoor area of Casa "Makatea". Ashtrays are available for you here. And please keep an eye on your children during all outdoor activities, as the terrace is not specifically secured for children.
