Positive: This is a typical Ibis hotel so you know what you're getting: great value for money, decent standards, smallish room in which everything works as it should do. No complaints whatsoever, far from it. What's more, this hotel exceeded expectations in its being in a handy location for both Italy and the Menton seafront. Our room, although very small, had a balcony and good view over the harbour so it was worth paying the seafront supplement.

Negative: Nothing unexpected or wrong with the hotel: it all works so we were happy with our stay and would come again. The only negative, but this is part of the modern trend in budget hotels, is that you barely see the staff so have the sensation you're staying alone on the property. No big deal if you're only there for a short time.
