La Pointe du Fjord is a comfortable and quiet house with no visible neighbors on a lot of more than one acre. Wake up to birdsong, observe wild plants and make a fire after a day of exploring the area.
The house is close to three national parks (Monts-Valin, Fjord-du-Saguenay, Pointe-Taillon), one hour from Tadoussac and Lac Saint-Jean, less than 20 minutes from Chicoutimi and Sainte-Rose du North and next to the Parc Aventures Cap Jaseux.
The house has three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms are upstairs: one with a Queen bed and the other with four single beds (small dormitory). A fifth single bed is on the upstairs landing. The third bedroom is located away, on the ground floor. It is furnished with a work desk and a double bed.
The full bathroom, with bath and separate shower, is upstairs. There is a powder room with washer and dryer on the ground floor.
The ground floor is open. The kitchen is well equipped and the cooker is induction. The living room area is furnished with a sofa, a loveseat and a large television, equipped with a DVD/Blu-ray player. A selection of films on DVD will appeal to all tastes and all ages. Adjacent to the living room, children will be happy to find a nice toy section. The dining room is spacious and pleasant. Finally, next to the third bedroom, a small room for your board game evenings is fitted out with a large window overlooking the forest.
At the front of the house is a large terrace with table and chairs. On the side of the house you will find a second relaxation area with two chairs and a small table. This is also where the bbq is located. A little further on the ground you can enjoy a large space to make an outdoor fire in the evening.
The water is perfectly drinkable, but sulphurous. We advise travelers who are inconvenienced by the taste to bring bottled water or simply to boil the water before consuming it in order to remove the sulphurous taste.
