The beach house contains 3 bedrooms. This luxurious beach house was renovated 2 years ago and now a brand new 2022 master bedroom and garage addition. Master bedroom boasts a private space with an open, light/bright romantic getaway. An open room with just 3/4 high walls to separate the walk-in closet and ensuite from the main room. Wake up, from the low profile platform king bed, to a mesmerizing wide view of the St Lawrence River and even enjoy this serene waterfront view from the glass railing Juliette porch. As a break from the outdoors, enjoy relaxing in the master's private sitting room while watching TV and making a hot/cold drink at the mini bar/coffee station. The rest of the beach house has a bright beachy feel and an open living-room/kitchen space, which includes a well cared for kitchen and appliances; everything you'll need for your beach house stay is here. The main space includes a flat screen TV, DVDs, games cupboard, Xbox 360 and controllers, Xbox games, AC, potable UV treated water, an outdoor gas fire table and an amazing waterfront view.

Summary: This is a gorgeous waterfront home and property. It's hard to get a sense of the property layout from the photos online, but it's just lovely. There is a grassy lawn directly behind the house, with steps down to a wooden deck and a grassy hillside down to the water. The beach is a thin sliver of sand and rock above the waterline with a long, gently sloping entry to the river perfect for wading, swimming, or launching a canoe. We did capsize the canoe on our first day, so pay attention to the wind & water, use the life vests, and stay close to shore! The deck is directly above and perfect for sunning, reading, glass of wine, or toasting marshmallows over the gas fire pit. The highlight of the house is the main bedroom, which is just stunning with a full wall of windows out to the water, a nespresso machine, and a private balcony. It has an en suite bathroom with double sink and double shower, and a walk in closet / dressing room for a little more privacy. The bed is a low platform bed, and it's really, really comfortable. Could use some reading lights next to the bed. The other two bedrooms are much smaller and on the back side of the house. Perfect setup for parents & kids / teens, but if you are going with two adult couples you might want to negotiate in advance who gets the big bedroom. Nothing much to do on Howe Island other than relax and soak up the natural beauty, but access to the mainland is easy by ferry. $8 for every round trip (as of Summer 2023). We loved it!
