The house is a fully furnished 3 bedroom home with outstanding views of the lake and spectacular sunsets. It offers country living at its finest. Savour the tranquility of the lake on the lounge chairs; enjoy fishing off the wharf, canoe rides on the lake or winter walks and cross-country skiing.
One canoe and one kayak for outings on the lake are available.
Interior description
The focal point of the open living/dining area is a stone fireplace with a wall of windows overlooking the lake. Patio doors from the kitchen lead directly out onto the terrace and a dining area and lounge chairs surrounded by a herb garden in the summer. Another set of doors off of the living room leads to a screened gazebo with B.BQ. and dining table and chairs. A large wharf on the water is the perfect place in the summer to sit and enjoy the sunsets.
The kitchen is fully equipped for aspiring chefs, with a LG fridge, Bosch dish washer, micro-wave, food processor, blender, hand mixer, juicer, fondue set two coffee machines one French press and one drip coffee, etc.
There is a flat screen TV in the living room as well as DVD and CD player and WI-FI internet throughout the house.
The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed and its own en suite marble bathroom with vanity and glass enclosed shower. Towels and hair dryers are provided in all bathrooms.
All the beds are new and provided with Egyptian bedsheets and eiderdown coverlets.
From the living room a wooden staircase leads up to the mezzanine with a view onto the lake. A second bedroom features a queen bed with a balcony overlooking the trees and the third has one double bed and two singles as well as a balcony overlooking the trees. A bright airy bathroom features heated ceramic floors, vanity and a large glass enclosed shower.
A powder room with sink and toilet is on the first floor.
There is a game room on the lower floor with games (chess, backgammon, checkers, puzzle) a 50 inch TV, and large sitting area, a wine cellar for romantic evenings for wine tastings ( bring your own wine) and a laundry room with washer and dryer, iron and ironing board.
There are English and French books, guide books, cookbooks, and children’s books in both English and French.
Exterior description
The home is an eight minute drive from either Magog or Georgeville. Mont Orford is 20 minutes away and offers skiing in the winter and wonderful nature hikes in the summer as well as concerts in a new concert hall. The home is close to many fine restaurants and the sightseeing possibilities in the area are endless.
