A short 3 minute walk to the beach or to the town centre. Sandy lake is known for great fishing and local hunting areas. Close by are many other lakes for fishing , boating, canoeing or just a walk on the many trails in and around these lakes. Also in the area is the Trans Canada trail, which is great for ATV’s, dirt bikes or Side x Sides. The trails will have you in awe at the picturesque views. Check out the local Ukrainian heritage museum right in town. Experience the Ukrainian culture of this small town. Every summer in August Sandy Lake’s Western Days are a highlight of this small town with great Ukrainian cooked meals with town wide events taking place.
