Enjoy this beautiful 3BR 2 full bath antique farmhouse in the heart of Shenandoah Valley in Maurertown with sleeping room for 11! 5 mins to Filibuster Distillery, North Mountain Vineyard, Ridge Runner Farms, Posey Thisisit Llama Farm and less than 1hour drive to Luray Caverns and all of the best hiking, fishing, exploring, and kayaking the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains have to offer! Relax on the front porch for your morning coffee/tea with the beautiful weeping cherry tree that is that talk of the neighborhood when in full bloom or and enjoy those summer nights in the back yard with a huge deck and firepit!

The Space:
Enjoy some antique charm in this quaint farmhouse. This home opens into a living space and dining room, fully equipped eat-in kitchen, full bathroom and a main floor bedroom. There is a loft space upstairs for all your work-from-home needs, two bedrooms and full bathroom and a washer/dryer.

The first floor bedroom has a king bed. The first bedroom upstairs has two doubles and the other has a queen and futon. There is also a queen pullout bed in the living room!

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire property and yard. Driveway next to house can fit up to 4 cars.

There can be unpredictable winter weather in the Shenandoah Valley, which can make traversing roads and accessing homes challenging. This house is located in the in Maurertown. It is a quaint small town, with small town feel. Our home is located on the main road through Maurertown, and very close to the interstate. There is a restaurant and convenience store within five minutes, and Strasburg is about a ten minute drive if there's anything else you might need during your stay away

Getting Around:
This is a small, rural, town so we recommend driving!

We require a signed rental agreement and for guest to be 25 years of age to book.

This home is located in a rural town in the Shenandoah Valley. There is the larger town of Strasburg less than fifteen minutes away for more dining and shopping options, although we do have a small restaurant within walking distance and also a Dollar General for basic conveniences less than two miles away. This is a rustic home in small, rural town in the Shenandoah Valley. If you are looking for a boutique hotel-type experience, our home might not be a great fit. We have amazing neighbors who have guinea hens and even a little pony, so you might get lucky and see a few barnyard animals during your stay, along with some local wildlife including deer, bear, raccoons, bugs, mice, possums, snakes, or lizards! We have never personally experienced an issue with the internet, but a couple of our guests have mentioned that it CAN be spotty due to our more rural location.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at this house. It has a wonderfully large and private backyard. The area is peaceful, and it's a short drive from Seven Bends SP, which is great for exploring. We appreciated being able to bring our dog. The kitchen was stocked nicely with cooking utensils. Our only frustration was with the large number of flies zooming around inside of the home. Kinda odd for a cold early April visit, but I guess you're in farmland. We suspected that they had easy access because the house isn't sealed well, with sizable gaps at the base of the exterior doors.
