Treat yourself to stay at our cozy Oceanside retreat in the heart of Halls Bay at Island Rock Cove in Springdale, NL. This little two bedroom retreat plus sofa bed will have you sitting at your table or in the living area or on the patio viewing some of the most magical sunrises and sunsets you would never imagine. Always activity from the local boats & sailboats, or a whale or two that will be only meters from your door step. Guest from Beijing, California to France said it's their favorite spot Retreat sits on a property near our dock. It is a spacious property allowing room to park and roam. One can expect to see lots of boat traffic, maybe a whale or two and lots of sea birds doing their thing.
The rooms are a good size with Queen beds in both and the Sofa bed is a Queen as well that sits in the sitting room. It is hard to beat the view siting so close to the water and watching all the activities, inside or outside on the patio. Guest have access to the entire retreat and around the property however access is not allowed 'unless invited' to any of the boats tied up to our dock, however the dock areas is accessible.
We live just next door, we are always around and you will see my wife and I frequenting our boat from time -to-time. We can be reached through the platform via messaging.
NOTE: To help with your decision for your length of stay with us here is some food for thought. IF you are just stopping over for a one night stay or for a free Level2 EV charge being how we are a midpoint stop-over as you travel across Newfoundland, then all is good. IF however, you want to take a trip out in boat in hopes of seeing whales/dolphins or do an excursion to shore to a secluded swimming hole and lunch, then we suggest to stay two or three nights because boating is weather depended. This type of stay gives a better window of opportunity to meet these goals. We have also done when available a Muscle boil-up right at the Chalet near the fire pit when the weather wasn't cooperating for a boat trip.
Things guest may see and do while staying at the OceanBreeZzzz retreat is a visit to the Wetlands or Indian River Falls to watch the Salmon run or if fly fishing is your thing you can try your luck with catching an Atlantic Salmon, or walk along the board walk on the Indian River shore. There are several walking trails in the area which is identified in our Guidebook.
PET INFO: Hypoallergenic pets only. Dogs ONLY are allowed ( MAX 2 ) and must be less than 20lbs. All pets need to be approved before being allowed. This is for the Safety of the NEXT Guest. Please bring your pet beddings. Pets are not allowed upon furniture or beds in our Retreats. Pets must be on a lease and no free ranging allowed or excess barking or left alone in the Chalet. Appreciate the understanding.
Guest with children need to inform them that no rock throwing in the water from the property is allowed. Our retreat isn't set up for small children because of it being near the Ocean and no cribs, play-pens or beds available however we will allow children and infants with 100% Supervision required.
