Peaceful and modern 4-season lakefront cottage on small non-motorized lake. Built in a hill in a mature forest, this place is suited for people who want to relax in nature. Two bedrooms, 1 bath, sleeps 6. Fully equipped kitchen, bbq, wi-fi, large 800 sf deck with seating overlooks the forest and lake. Suitable for couples, small families, and mature quiet groups.
Concrete floor with radiant heat stays warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The cottage is on a hilly dead-end road (great for going for walks) and provides a quiet environment for those looking for a nature escape.
In winter, snowshoe and cross-country ski on the 2-acre property. 15 minutes to ski Morin Heights, 25 minutes to ski Saint Sauveur. 4km to snowmobile trail. And then warm up by the woodstove.
In summer, access to the lake is a 100 metre walk down a sloped forest path to the private dock. The waterfront is left in its natural state with shrubs and plant to preserve the ecological nature of the lake. A 1-seat kayak is available for your use. There is no beach and the bottom of the lake is very mucky. If you want to swim, it's best to start swimming as soon as getting off ladder at the end of the dock (where water is about waist deep) and avoid touching the bottom and sinking in the muck.
45 minutes from Montreal and 1.5 hours from Ottawa. Located between Lachute and Morin Heights (15 minutes to each) and 25 minutes to Saint Sauveur.
Accessibility note: There are 25 wood steps to get down to the cottage from the parking area and the paths in the forest are on a slope with some natural roots/rocks. Not suitable for individuals with limited mobility.
