Barn Up The Hill Cottage is a 2 story tranquil private cottage to relax and stay while you explore the Okanagan, hit the beach or slopes, do some hiking, boating, golfing, visit wineries or just stay in and relax.
Barn Up The Hill cottage is surrounded by nature with amazing views all around. The large deck provides great views of Okanagan lake, the foothills and the visiting birds. Close to Lakes, beaches, Silver Star and Sovereign Lake, Hiking and town.
A full private cottage with keyless entry, full equipped kitchen, 2 full bathrooms, in suite laundry, sleeps up to 8, non smoking, dog friendly for one dog upon approval. BX dog park a short drive.
Set on 5 Acres of beautiful country with the backdrop of the forest, views of the valley, Lake Okanagan, Terrace Mountain and sunsets supreme and only minutes to town, beaches or the ski hills. Walking trails within 5 minutes and BX Falls nearby. Cambium Cidery and restaurant is minutes away to take in an Orchard tour or concert. On the large deck just sit and read and take in the sunset, or go out and play some yard games. Have an outdoor campfire (when permitted) and take in the stars.

Sleeping: The cottage can sleep 6-8 people. The Upper private bedroom is bright with a queen bed, comfy bedding and a large closet system. The Lower private bedroom is boho with a queen bed, comfy bedding, dresser and a deep closet. The Bunk bed nook with full size mattresses with cozy bedding and a privacy curtain to separate it from the family room sofa bed area. The pull out queen couch is comfortable and easy to set up. If you are bringing baby we have a play n go crib. Additional cost for more then 2 guests. Children under 2 are free.
Cooking on your time away, the cottage offers a well equipped kitchen in a bright workspace with big window. Full appliances with stove, double oven, fridge with ice and water dispenser, freezer, microwave and dishwasher. If grilling is preferred use the BBQUE. Kitchen offers pots, pans, baking tools to basic pantry items in the cupboard ready for you to use as well as starter spices, sugar, coffees and teas. If eating out is what you are after restaurants, cafes and bistros are minutes away to explore or have delivery.
Living Room hosts lots of seating with great views, Smart TV to log into your streaming apps.
Sunroom is a beautiful space for reading, having morning coffee, visiting, playing a game, doing a puzzle, working at the desk, or just enjoying the views. If lucky you will see some wildlife such as bobcats, deer, bears and a wide variety of birds.
Family Room is located on the lower level with a couch area, TV with large DVD library for kids and adults. This room hosts the pull out sofa bed and bunkbed nook. Lower door leads to another outdoor sitting area, around the corner to outdoor fire area.
Washroom One offers a deep soaking tub/shower, vanity with big mirror, toilet and is located on the upper floor. Washroom Two offers a full shower, toilet, large counter space with sink and drawers. Both stocked with towels and soaps for your use.
Laundry room provides a washer, dryer, ironing board and everything you need to keep up with your laundry.
If bringing a fur family member one dog is allowed upon approval only. Must be house trained, flea free and not shedding at time of stay. Your dog cannot be left alone in the cottage unless crated and only for short times. For safety they will need to be on a leash while outside. There is no fenced in area. Disclosure of pet, size and breed coming at time of booking must be given. We provide a small dog pet bed and dishes. Additional fee for pets to stay and damage deposit required.
Minimum 2 night stays. If wanting to stay a month or more pre approval must be given. Longer term rentals require a lease agreement. Please contact us.
Agreement to house rules including no parties, no smoking, no vaping, no drug use of any kind in cottage or on the property.
Friends or family visits are allowed but do require notification of who is coming onto the property, no unapproved non paying overnight guests.
Due to the remote nature of our property and with wild life in the area we do have surveillance cameras on the property for your safety.
