This is due to a nearby tree (most likely an Eucalyptus Globulus a.k.a Tasmanian Bluegum, which are common in the area) whose blossoms tend to fall frequently—sometimes almost instantly—and may contain natural oils. This can cause the pool water to appear cloudy or slightly oily, as shown in the photo. Please rest assured, this does not mean the pool is dirty or lacking in chemicals.
