The NOVASOL Chalet Hochmatt is situated slightly above and thus offers a magnificent view of the hills of the Gruyère region and the roofs of the other chalets. A lot of wood leads to the fact, whether in the furniture or in the paneling, that you quickly feel at home and can really relax.
The dark wood kitchen offers a coffee maker, a dishwasher, an electric stove with oven and a microwave. The access to the living/dining room is spacious and you will find a fireplace for cozy evenings. Besides stereo, WLAN and CD player, the chalet is also equipped with a TV and a DVD player. Of a total of four bedrooms you will find 3 on the upper floor, which have sloping roofs. Access to the upper floor is possible via a wooden staircase in the living area.
You have to bring your own bed linen and towels. The final cleaning is mandatory and must be paid together with the visitor's tax on site.

Summer
The village of Jaun, situated at 1050 m.a.s.l. is together with ?Im Fang? the only German speaking village in the French speaking Gryerzer region.
The hiking possibilities in Jaun are numerous and about 15 circular walks in the pure mountain air and in the silence of nature will help you to feel the relaxation after a short time. For example, walk from Jaun to the castle grotto and back, it takes only about 30 minutes. But if you want to walk longer, you can for example walk via Euschelspass-Schwarzsee-Riggisalp back to Jaun and give yourself up to the wonderful nature during about 6 hours.
If you decide to spend your summer vacations in this fantastic region, you would almost have to visit the Maison du Gruyere, a wonderful show dairy. Located at the foot of Gruyères Castle, you can see how Le Gruyère AOP is produced, a great experience for young and old.
And if it gets too hot ? enjoy a swim in the beautiful Schwarzsee. Shortly before the Schwarzsee you will find a waterfall, which is definitely worth a visit.
Winter
The fine and small ski area around Jaun is suitable for skiers of all categories and ages. At an altitude of 1580 m.a.s.l. the area offers about 25km of ski slopes and 3 ski lifts. A ski school also ensures that the youngest skiers can improve their skills within a few days and prove them later.
With a length of 6km, the tranquil toboggan run, away from the ski slopes, invites the whole family for fun on two wheels. The chairlift takes you to Musersbergli and from here you can take a fast ride through a breathtaking natural landscape and speed down a height difference of about 500m. There is also a toboggan rental on site.
From ?In Fang? to Jaun or vice versa you can walk on the great cross-country trail with your cross-country skis. A bus also runs the route ? so you can take off and see if you still have enough energy for the way home.
A real highlight during cold winter days is the waterfall of Jaun. When it freezes over, you can take great photos and also just marvel at the force of nature.
