The 1,450 sq.ft. interior features the soothing palette of nature, works by Island artists and a sustainable ethos, from no-VOC paint to beautiful floors of recycled vinyl and sustainable cork, known for its warmth and ability to soften sound.
The living room features a cozy Norweigian JØTUL gas fireplace, sectional sofa and chairs custom-designed for style and comfort. In the kitchen, enjoy preparing and cooking your food on countertops of quartz Caesarstone and a gas stove with a true convection oven. Tofino's local shops allow plentiful access to fresh seafood, organic vegetables and artisanal foods.
The cottage lays serenely in a coastal marine landscape, designed in collaboration with Tofino organic master gardener Kris Simmons. Surrounded by cedar trees, long revered for their spiritual significance and as symbols of strength, visitors can relax on any of the three decks. The grounds of the cottage are ideal for meditation, listening to the distant thunder of the waves, the whisper of wind through the cedars and the joyful sound of birds.
