If you like fairytales, you will love staying here. The stunningly serene settings will make all your worries disappear. However; don’t let the beauty fool you. It is called rustic for a reason! There is no wifi, no indoor plumbing, or running water. We make up for that in the details. The inside of your bunkie is clean and cozy with modern decor and includes a mini fridge, keurig coffee maker, complimentary jug of water, fire pit and BBQ. The outhouse is only a short walk away.
There are three bunkies on site but in order to provide an enhanced experience to our guests we are only renting to one group at a time. Each Bunkie has a 2 adult max. The second and third Bunkies are available depending on size of group. Please contact me if you are interested in reserving more than one.
You will have your own private lakeside sitting area directly in front of the bunkies, equipped with a fire pit, bbq and plenty of seating directly on the water.
There is a floating dock, outhouse and outdoor shower which is shared with my family and I when we are visiting. We stay in the main cottage approx. 150 meters down the fairytale trail.
The amount of interaction will be dictated by you. I am very respectful of guests privacy and understand that you are coming here for an escape from the everyday to day. My family and I have a cabin at the end of the trail and there is enough separation between us to go relatively unnoticed. As indicated above we do have some shared space, but it is minimal.
Think of this experience like glamping. We provide a luxurious space for you to rest your head and the equipment to cook all your food, but you need to bring the rest. I recommend guests bring their own utensils, pots/pans, campsite friendly dishware, extra water and food.
There is a supermarket and liquor store approx. 20 mins away. We are located 1 hour from Halifax and 40 mins from Lunenburg.
