The lighthouse has five levels, so it's a property for those who like to stay active!
The walk-out basement is a bedroom with a three-piece bathroom, laundry facility, futon, and tv.
The main floor is the kitchen and living room. It has 3 walls of windows with a stunning view, bench seating, a tv, and fireplace. A big kitchen island is perfect for gathering.
The second floor is the keeper's bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and a walk-out deck.
The third floor is the watch room/work station, which has 360-degree windows and a large table with stools and mini-fridge, which can be converted into the third bedroom. This floor makes a great office area, with internet fast enough for Zoom/video calls and a real background that will make your colleagues gasp!
The top floor is the lantern room and gallery, and is accessible through a pull-down staircase. You can walk out on the outdoor gallery and take in the amazing views. You'll see the bay of Rustico, the dunes of Brackley Beach, the Gulf of Saint Lawrence, Robinson's Island, Rustico Resort golf course, and a tree-top osprey nest that you can gaze right into! At night, you can stargaze like never before and sometimes even see the northern lights in the fall season!
The path takes you down to a secluded waterfront with warm shallow waters, right in the backyard! Dig for clams, build sand castles, and relax just steps away! You can also observe a variety of birds and wildlife living in the nearby salt-water marshes.
**Please note that the first 4 levels of the lighthouse do not have doors as the main staircase acts as the entryway to each floor. If you are a light sleeper or looking for privacy, this place may not be the right fit for you.**
