The resort is south facing. This sunlight is a major asset for the resort which offers winter and summer of pleasant walking routes storied of 1400-2400 m. The resort is family type and is more appropriate for beginners. Also you can rent your ski there. However other resorts of Chamonix, St Gervais and Megève are 30minutes.
In winter you will ski possibilities of course, snowshoes, cross-country skiing, ski touring, tobogganing, and other specific activities, and summer you will be hard at work for various hikes in the nature reserve red needles of Chamonix which Plaine-Joux is the eastern boundary.
