Welcome to Haskap Farms Vacation Rental. Our guests say they love our spacious suite because of its convenient location, it's dog friendly, and they enjoy how peaceful and comfortable it is. The suite has one bedroom with a king size bed and features a private living area, dining area, kitchenette and covered patio area with a fenced-in dog area. The 800 sq ft suite is meticulously cleaned and sanitized and is on the ground floor of a two story house. There are no stairs to enter, or within the suite, and it has its own private entrance with an electronic lock for self check-in. There are large glass sliding doors in the living room and bedroom making all the rooms very bright.

The bedroom features a king size bed with a medium to firm mattress and cotton linens. Extra pillows, bedding and linens are available and the blackout curtains allow you to sleep-in in the morning. The attached en-suite bathroom has been completely remodeled and has a soaker bathtub with a soothing rainfall shower and hand held wand. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, blow dryer and iron are provided.
The living area includes a comfortable sitting area with a sofa, love seat and coffee table situated in front of an electric fireplace for romanic ambiance. Watch TV on the provided cable channels or use your account to log into your favorite App (Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV, HBO Max, Disney, etc) to watch a movie or your favorite series.
The dining area has a full table for dinners at home or for using as a work area for telecommuting. The kitchenette area has a microwave oven, electric frying pan, hot plate, toaster, refrigerator, electric kettle, Keurig coffee maker (coffee pods provided), dishes, cutlery, water glasses, wine glasses, dishwasher and other necessities. There is also a BBQ with a side burner just outside the door on the covered patio. The provided pots and pans can be used on the BBQ side burner or on the induction hot plate. Please note there is no stove or oven.
The private outdoor area has two covered sitting areas to enjoy your coffee while taking in the scenery and mountain views. There is a private fenced in dog area that has a covered section to keep your furry friends out of the weather. Guests are also welcome to use the putting green and bocce balls.
Getting around
We recommend having a vehicle to get around. It's about a twenty minute drive down the hill to downtown Kelowna, twelve minutes to Gyro beach and fifteen minutes to Orchard Park Mall.
There is a dedicated parking space in front of the suite and additional free parking is available if required. We also have free RV, ATV and boat parking if needed, just let us know if additional space is needed when you make your reservation.
Other things to note
The province of B.C. has enacted new short-term rental legislation. Short-term rental hosts in B.C. are required to register their short-term rentals with the provincial registry by May 1, 2025.
- Starting May 1, 2025, short-term rental listing platforms will stop advertising short-term rental listings that have not registered
- As of June 1, 2025, and going forward, short-term rental platforms will remove short-term rental listings that are unregistered, and cancel their existing bookings
- Hosts are required to display their provincial registration number and, where required, a local business license number on all listings

Haskap Farms is an active farm that grows and sells organic haskap berries. What are haskaps you might ask? They are berries from the Honeysuckle family and are an excellent source of antioxidants. They have a tangy fruit flavour with hints of raspberry, blueberry and black currant. On the surface this berry has the colour of a blueberry and is oblong or oval in shape. The inside flesh of the berry is a rich maroon colour and very juicy. Haskap farms offers frozen haskap berries and an assortment of jams, jellies and syrup.
As an active farm, you may hear agricultural machinery and activities. During the winter months the tractor will be plowing snow on the driveway and parking areas. During the spring and summer months the tractor may be cutting the grass or we’re using equipment to put up the bird nets to protect the haskap berries. For a few weeks in June and July we harvest the haskap berries starting around 6am for a few hours when the weather is cool. After the harvest is complete it takes a week or so to take the bird nets down which we do sometime in August and September. During these periods it may be noisy when the equipment is in operation near the house. We are very mindful of our guests and try to minimize the noise around the house, especially in the early morning.
